Gregg Daffner is CEO of GapSat, a satellite venture that leases entire in-orbit satellites to satellite operators for use in their orbital slots for interim periods of time, generally until the operator launches its own custom-built satellite. Previously Gregg co-founded and was president of Asia Broadcast Satellite (ABS).
Gregg is President of the Asia Pacific Satellite Communications Council (APSCC), the Chairman of the AVIA (formerly CASBAA) Satellite Wireless Action Group, and a member of the Board of Governors and Secretary of the Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC)
Adi R. Adiwoso
Adi R. Adiwoso, President and CEO of PSN/ACeS, has more than 40 years experiences in the space and telecommunications industry.
In 1991, he co-founded Indonesian first private satellite company, Pasifik Satelit Nusantara (“PSN”).
Adiwoso served in several boards including Indonesian state own enterprises such as PT Garuda Indonesia, PT Merpati Nusantara, PT Dirgantara Indonesia and PPA (State Asset Company). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University, USA and a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the California Institute of Technology, USA.
Andy Revara is the Director of Development in Telkomsat, a wholly state owned Company of PT Telkom Indonesia (Telkom).
Telkomsat is a VSAT service provider and also a Satellite Operator. He has been working in the satellite communication area for 15 years.
Beside his career in satellite communication network, he worked in the Directorate of Strategic Investment and Corporate Strategic Planning in Telkom.
Vice President, Asia-Pacific
Imran Malik, heads up the regional sales team responsible for business development across the Asia-Pacific regions for SES Networks, a provider of global managed data services. He holds more than 20 years of experience in the field of Satellite Communications. Prior to joining SES Networks, Imran served as the CEO of Supernet Ltd., the leading data communications service provider in Pakistan, for six years. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of PAKSAT International which operates the PAKSAT-1R satellite. A pinnacle of Imran’s career includes his time as a board member at Telecard Limited, a telecommunications service provider listed on the Karachi stock exchange in Pakistan. In early 1999 Imran joined Lockheed Martin Global Telecommunications (LMGT), a wholly owned subsidiary of the aerospace giant Lockheed Martin. Prior to this Imran was posted to Singapore as a key member of a joint venture with General Electric (GE) called Americom Asia-Pacific (AAP) for the launch and operation of two communications satellites covering the Asia-Pacific region. All this followed his initial career start with Hughes Network Systems back in 1990. Imran has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Oklahoma and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
Regional Vice President, Asia Pacific
Terry Bleakley began serving as Intelsat’s Regional Vice President, Asia-Pacific in November 2010. He is responsible for the management of Intelsat’s sales and marketing activities throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
Prior to this position, Mr. Bleakley served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing and Vice President, Commercial Operations for MEASAT from 2006 to 2010.
From 2000-2006, he served with Intelsat and PanAmSat in senior sales and sales management positions in the Asia-Pacific region.
Mr. Bleakley earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Victoria University in Wellington, New Zealand and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Aviation and Business Studies from Massey University in Palmerston North, New Zealand.

Yao Fahai is the Vice-President of China Satellite Communications Co., Ltd. He is mainly responsible for satellite spectrum management, satellite project construction, traffic operation and satellite control, project risk management and related technology research.
Under his leadership, the first imported satellite project of China from US was successfully constructed. Yao holds a Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering and a Master’s degree in digital signal processing of telecommunication in China.
Huang Baozhong, Executive Vice President of APT Satellite Company Ltd (APT) responsible for marketing and sales. Before joining in APT, he had been working in a series of senior positions such as the Vice President of China Satellite Communications Corporation, Vice President of China Direct Broadcast Satellite Company Limited and Vice President of China’s SINO Satellite Company Limited. Mr. Huang graduated as a Master of Science and engaged in the space industry ever since his graduation.
In 1991, Yo Ikeno joined Space Communications Corporation (which merged with SKY Perfect JSAT in 2008). Throughout his career, he had been in charge of a wide range of the company’s activities, including sales, marketing, product development of fully-managed telecommunication services, satellite capacity wholesale, as well as strategic partnerships with various satellite operators. Since 2015, he has been assigned as the Chief Representative at Jakarta Office, serving the customers in Indonesia, the market where the company puts its primary focus on.
David Mitlyng is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at SpeQtral, a quantum communications startup offering ultra-secure communications based on the laws of quantum physics. David has 25 years of experience in the satellite industry, including Hughes Space and Communications, Orbital ATK, SSL, and BridgeSat. David has a BS in Aeronautical Engineering from Cal Poly SLO, a MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University, and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Richard Pang is an Executive Director, Southeast Asia, Marketing & Sales for Maxar Technologies. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for the marketing and sales of the company’s satellites and space solutions in Southeast Asia.
Mr. Pang has more than 28 years’ experience with international communications satellites and services including television and telecommunications. Prior to Maxar (formerly SSL), Mr. Pang spent 20 years with Telesat and Loral Skynet and served in various business development and management positions including Head of Sales, Asia-Pacific.
Mr. Pang earned his BS in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Hong Kong, his MS in computer science from the City University of Hong Kong, and his MBA from the Booth School of Business, University of Chicago.
Li Hongqing (Howard)
Li Hongqing (Howard) is the General Manager of Asia Pacific Division at China Great Wall Industry Corporation, responsible for the sales and marketing in Asia Pacific region. He started his career at space industry since early 1990s, and has almost twenty (20) years experiences in satellite and launch services business. Mr. Li used to work on several commercial satellite projects such as Apstar-9, Apstar-6C, Apstar-6D, and Palapa-N1, which are based on Chinese DFH-4 satellite platform, as well as launch services programs for Optus B3, Apstar-IIR and Globalstar using the Long March launch vehicles. He graduated from Beijing Institute of Technology and held a master degree from China Academy of Space Technology.
Xavier Albert-Lebrun, Telecommunication Satellite Sales Director Asia at Airbus
Xavier brings more than 25 years of experience in the Space Industry where he has been holding a
variety of engineering, program management and business development positions – spanning over a
large section the space value chain (equipment manufacturer, prime contractor, insurer, operator).
Xavier has worked both in “traditional space” teams and “newspace” teams.
A graduate of Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Electricité in France, he holds a MSc degree in
Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Sherbrooke and an Executive MBA degree from
Cranfield University, UK.
Minoru UEDA is General Manager of Space Systems Department, Mitsubishi Electric Asia Pte Ltd (MEAP). He is responsible for sales and marketing in Asia & Pacific region for Mitsubishi Electric’s Satellite.
His career at Mitsubishi Electric is more than 35 years and has managed many important global space business and he is expected to contribute to new space programs in this region utilizing highly qualified technology of Mitsubishi Electric.

During the past 12 years, Bertrand has continuously increased its knowledge of payloads for telecom spacecrafts.
He was first responsible for flexible payloads developments, including digital processors and active antennas, and then responsible for bids and designs, mainly for High Throughput Spacecrafts. His most representative achievements were SGDC for VISIONA, EUTELSAT KONNECT and INMARSAT GX5.
In 2018, he has been appointed Product Line Manager for telecom payloads, in charge of strategic marketing, product definition and innovation orientation.
Bertrand is an engineer graduated from the French Aeronautical and Space School, ISAE-SUPAERO. He also holds a Ph.D. in Microwave and Optoelectronics.
STEPHANE CHENARD | Position: Associated Senior Consultant, Euroconsult
Since 1992, Stéphane has been a senior consultant, then senior associate consultant, in charge of many of the research projects which Euroconsult performs for investors, governments and the satellite industry to assess satellite communication markets and ventures around the world. This has included substantially all client research performed on the Indonesian market, Africa and the Middle East, and published studies on military communications and on the Russian space industry. In 1985-91 Stéphane started as a reporter for aerospace and defense publications.
Director, Regulatory and Market Access – Inmarsat
Zeina Mokaddem is responsible for market access and licensing efforts for Inmarsat’s activities in the MENA and APAC regions. She also leads Inmarsat’s aviation regulatory efforts across GX. Prior to joining Inmarsat, Zeina worked as a consultant and enabled the introduction of a number of innovative technologies, encompassing terrestrial and satellite communications in Europe and globally.
Zeina has over 14 years of experience in the satellite industry and holds an MSc in Engineering Management.
Kurniawan Dwi Prasetyo
Kurniawan Dwi Prasetyo is the Datacom Network Operation General Manager of Aplikanusa Lintasarta, one of the biggest VSAT service provider in Indonesia. He is responsible for the operations of satellite and terrestrial network all over the country. Prior to this, He was appointed as Senior Manager of Network Planning and Senior Manager of Product Development. Kurniawan has more than 12 years of experience in telecommunication industry. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Telecommunication both from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB).
Ruby Budiman serves as a Technical & Satellite Director at MNC Sky Vision since 2015. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Oklahoma State University. He started his career in electronic retail industry, and then joined the first DTH PayTV in Indonesia at its inception. He was responsible for the operations and engineering of Indovision PayTV broadcast system. He later took a Magister Management degree from Binus Business School. Currently he heads the DTH PayTV operations & engineering and Satellite operations at MNC Sky Vision.
Donald Chew – MD of Sales, Asia Pacific
Donald Chew brings over 25 years of experience in satellite sales and product management. He heads up the Asia Pacific market and is responsible for the management of sales and business initiatives throughout this region.
Prior to joining ABS, Donald worked at SES and Singtel. He was tasked to manage the emerging market and played a key role in developing the mobile back haul and data markets in Papua New Guinea and Afghanistan.
Donald holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree from the National University of Singapore in Electrical Engineering.
Susan Bull is a Senior Consultant with COMSYS. She has specialised in all aspects of the VSAT market since 1985 and advises clients worldwide on all aspects of VSAT systems and satellite services. She has been primarily responsible for the COMSYS multi-client VSAT studies including The VSAT and Maritime Reports. Her work at COMSYS also involves advising clients on the strategic, business planning, competitive and operational aspects of VSAT.
Vincent LEE, Director of APAC , Kratos
Lee has been in the satellite industry for 30 years and been involved in many large and complex earth station initiatives. In his role for Kratos, Mr. Lee is focused on delivering technological innovations and improvements to the ground segment for satellite operators and network providers in the region. He has 15 years of experience working for a regional systems integrator delivering earth stations to satellite operators, broadcasters and government agencies in Asia. Mr. Lee also worked for 6 years with the distributor of Comtech EF Data and GD Satcom supplying satellite modems, high power SSPA and large antennas in the APAC region. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the National University of Singapore.

Mr. Miguel Molina is the Commercial Director and Deputy General Manager of GMV Aerospace, a global company that provides, engineering, IT and systems integration for the Aerospace, Defense, Security, Transport, Telecomunications and Healthcare markets worldwide.
Mr. Molina has devoted his entire career to space programs and applications with more than 30 years experience in the Space Sector, where he has held positions in software development, engineering, project management, space operations and business development before moving 8 years ago into the current management positions. Throughout his career he has been involved in different Space missions ranging from Space exploration, Earth observation, Navigation and Telecommunications.

Vaibhav Magow is Associate Vice President and heads the Asia/Pacific region for the International Division at Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HUGHES). A satellite communications and IT professional with over 25 years of experience, Vaibhav has led in multiple roles including Enterprise Sales, Product Development, Services Marketing, Business Planning, Digital Services, Franchising, and Service Retailing. He heads Asia/Pacific region for Hughes International for the past 10 years. Prior to this Vaibhav worked in the Indian satellite market for 11 years with Hughes Communications India, Ltd. (HCIL).
Vaibhav holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Computer Science from the University of Pune.
Sales Director at UHP Networks, is responsible for expanding market footprint and developing sales channels for UHP VSAT technology, known for its disruptive innovation. Mr. Stoop, an experienced business executive, has spent over 20 years in sales, business development, project and product management at Alcatel, Newtec and other leaders in the field of satellite and wireless communications. Mr. Stoop holds a Bachelors degree in Chemistry, a Masters degree in Electronic Engineering and business education certificates from INSEAD, France.
NATHAN DE RUITER | Position: Managing Director
Nathan de Ruiter is the Managing Director of Euroconsult Canada.
As the leader of Euroconsult’s satellite communications practice, he has managed more than 60 consulting missions in the past 5 years for satellite operators, manufacturers, equipment providers and financial institutions. His speciality lies in commercial due diligence, market analysis, financial forecasting and strategic planning.
Nathan has a deep understanding of the context of satellite communications market in Indonesia. He has managed several consulting mandates for Indonesian clients and on the Indonesian satcom market, including the commercial due diligence assessment of the PSN VI satellite project.
Wicak Soegijoko is the Vice President Special Projects for Kacific Broadband Satellites. He has received his bachelors degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and his Master’s degree in Systems Architecture in Aerospace from the University of Southern California. He began his career as a mission systems engineer in 1994, he has been active in the area of space regulations for the past 10 years. He has presided as Chairman of WRC Agenda Item discussion groups at the APG for 2 WRC’s and has been active at the national level.

He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Diponegoro University (1990) and Master’s degree in Telecommunication Management from Bandung Institute of Technology (2002). He has been serving as PSN Director since 2013.
Prior to that, he held various positions in the Company, including as the Assistant to the Manager of Quality Assurance in Planning and Development of Network Division, Bandung (2002), Assistant to the Manager of Application and Procedure Planning in TMN of Network Division, Bandung(2002-2003), Senior Officer of Payload System at T2 Satellite Project of Long Distance Division, Jakarta (2003-2004), Operation and Maintenance Manager in Satellite Sub‐Division of INFRATEL, Cibinong (2004‐2007), and General Manager in Satellite Sub‐Division of INFRATEL, Cibinong (2007-2013).
Warga negara Indonesia, 53 tahun, lahir di Surabaya pada 10 Desember 1965. Beliau memperoleh gelar Sarjana Teknik Elektro dari Universitas Diponegoro (1990) dan gelar Magister Telekomunikasi dari Institut Teknologi Bandung (2002). Beliau menjabat sebagai Direktur PSN sejak 2013.
Sebelumnya beliau telah memegang berbagai jabatan di Perusahaan, termasuk sebagai Assistant to the Manager of Quality Assurance in Planning and Development of Network Division, Bandung (2002), Assistant to the Manager of Application and Procedure Planning in TMN of Network Division, Bandung (2002‐2003), Senior Officer of Payload System at T2 Satellite Project of Long Distance Division, Jakarta (2003‐2004), Operation and Maintenance Manager in Satellite Sub-Division di INFRATEL, Cibinong (2004‐2007), dan General Manager in Satellite Sub‐Division di INFRATEL, Cibinong (2007‐2013).
Director for Business Development
Rob brings with him more than 25 years of experience in the Telecommunications, Information Technology and Semiconductor industries. As the Director for Business Development, he looks after the telco and MNO businesses of SES in Indonesia, Timor Leste, Philippines, and Indo-China.
His business skills encompass general management, market strategy formulation, distribution channel development and major account development gained from companies such as O3b Networks, MEASAT Satellite Systems, ADC, e-Pay Asia, Hughes Network Systems, Kulicke & Soffa and NCR Corporation.
In the mobile phone industry, he set up and ran the local subsidiaries of e-Pay Asia and First Asia Mobile. He also ran a local subsidiary of ADC Corporation.
In the satellite industry, he worked at various regional sales and business development positions with Hughes Network Systems and MEASAT Satellite Systems and O3b Networks before the latter was integrated into SES Networks in 2017.
Khodadad (Ken) Betaharon, CTO, Saturn satellite Networks
With numerous years of experience in the satellite industry, K. Betaharon has been involved in multiple aspects of satellite communications, including system planning, procurement and launch activities for many communications satellites, satellite operation, satellite service provision, extensive research and development efforts, ITU filings and establishing satellite terrestrial infrastructure.
Betaharon graduated from the University of Maryland with a BSEE degree in 1969 and a MSEE degree in 1971. He worked for Comcast Labs for over 9 years, Intelsat for over 29 years, ABS for 11 years and has been with Saturn satellite Networks since January 2019. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu.
Matthew Tan is the Regional Sales Manager, Indonesia, Vietnam and Singapore for Comtech EF Data. He joined Comtech EF Data in 2011, and previously held the position of Sales Engineer for the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to joining Comtech EF Data, Matthew was with Schlumberger where he was responsible for a wide array of activities including Operations (Engineering and Logistics), Field and System Engineering and Technical Sales.
Jeremy Rose is a Partner at COMSYS LLP, the leading VSAT consultancy firm and a world leader in satellite communications market and strategic research. Jeremy’s work at COMSYS concentrates on market and technical studies relating primarily to space segment assets – including supply and demand, strategic competition analysis and assistance with M&A commercial and technical due diligence. He also leads the firm’s legal expert and support team – providing assistance to law firms and other clients involved in dispute resolution including litigation and arbitration.
Nobuyuki Shiina is the Director of MHI Launch Services, Global Business, Space Systems at MHI. He is responsible for sales & marketing of the H-IIA Launch Services as well as the Launch Services by the next generation Launch Vehicle, H3 that is currently under development.
From 2002 to 2009, Nobuyuki Shiina worked at Hitach High-Technologies, Ltd. in a sales & marketing team for semiconductors and related electronics for consumer products. After 2009 and until now, he works at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. responsible for sales & marketing of MHI Launch Services at Space Systems Division in MHI.
Jonathan Hofeller is SpaceX’s Vice President of Commercial Sales, with primary responsibility for commercial business development efforts across the globe. Prior to joining SpaceX in 2007, Hofeller worked on satellite payloads at Raytheon as a mechanical engineer. Hofeller received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University, a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California, and a degree in Technology Commercialization from USC’s Marshall School of Business.
Kevin Reyes is Senior Director, Sales at ILS International Launch Services, responsible for Proton M and
Angara 1.2 launch service sales.
Reyes joined ILS in 2016 after 34 years with The Boeing Company. Reyes’ career included sales and
engineering positions for various Boeing launch vehicle and satellite programs, including Titan, Delta,
and Sea Launch. After the formation of ULA, Reyes was responsible for all commercial Delta II and Delta
IV launch service sales.
Reyes has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from CSU, Stanislaus; Master of
Science degrees in Systems Management and Systems Architecting and Engineering from the University
of Southern California.
Ling Fei is the Regional Director for Business Development at Asia Pacific Division of China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC). He joined CGWIC in 2009 for business development and program management of Long March launch services, involved in various Long March launch services programs for dedicated/rideshare customers and commercial satellite programs globally and later became the Deputy Director for Business Development at Launch Services Division of CGWIC

Chune Yang LUM

Chune Yang Lum is co-founder and CEO at SpeQtral, a spin-off company from the Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) that is developing and commercializing space-based quantum communication systems. He was previously Head of Strategic Development at CQT, where he was responsible for engagements with industry and government stakeholders in the commercialization of quantum technologies. Prior to joining CQT, Chune Yang was responsible for business development in Asia-Pacific at SES, a global satellite operator, where he led engagements in satellite programmes with private companies and governments across APAC.
Sjoerd De Clerck
Sjoerd De Clerck graduated in 1985 with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ghent. After graduating, Sjoerd joined Barco NV in 1986 as a Product Support Engineer and has held the last decades several VP roles within the company.
For two years, until 1994, he was active in M&A activities for the company until he founded the Control Room Division based on an external acquisition. In 2000, Sjoerd started the Digital Cinema Division where he was responsible for P&L responsibilities where he managed the R&D, sales and customer support teams.
From 2006 he became responsible for the European and South American growth markets and was promoted to the Vice President of Customer Services EMEA-LA in 2009 before joining Newtec as VP Asia of Sales end of 2016.
Dr. Robertus Heru Triharjanto
Director of Center for Aerospace Policy Studies, National Institute Aeronautics and Space (LAPAN)
Started his service at in 1998, as design/flight test engineer for LAPAN’s sounding rocket program. He then became lead engineer for Indonesian 1st microsatellite, LAPAN-A1/TUBSAT, in 2003. He served as the Head of Satellite Bus Technology Division, at Satellite Technology Center, LAPAN, between 2009-2014. During such time, LAPAN developed its 2nd and 3rd satellite, LAPAN-A2/ORARI and LAPAN-A3/IPB. He also contributed in the formulation of Indonesian Space Law, which was enacted in 2013, and Indonesian Space Activities Masterplan, which was decreed in 2017. He served as the senior researcher at LAPAN in 2014-2018, in-charge for national journal and regional seminar on aerospace technology. He also served as thesis advisor at Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Institut Teknologi Bandung, and Faculty of Defense Technology at Indonesian Defense University.
He graduated in Aerospace Engineering from North Carolina State University, USA, Texas A&M University, USA, and Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia.
Dr. Anggoro K. Widiawan
Dr. Anggoro K. Widiawan was born in Magelang. He holds PhD degree in Wireless Communications from the University of Surrey, United Kingdom. He is currently with PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk as Coordinator of Business and Technology. He has been actively involved in satellite design and operation activities within the company since 1999. His research interest is in future wireless communication systems including various types of satellite systems. For those areas, he has been contributing in a number of international research activities in Asia and Europe. The latest achievements were successful completion of research collaboration with Europe, called TROPIC (www.ict-tropic.eu/) and the successful launch of Telkom 3S satellite.

Simon Gwozdz founded Equatorial Space Industries in 2017, in a mission to provide

He received the PhD degree in electrical engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung. He gives lecturing on Satellite and Terrestrial Network Systems, Radar and Navigation, Remote Sensing System, Mobile Core Networks and also Advanced Topics of Wireless Telecommunication Networks. He has published many papers at some IEEE conferences. His research interests include ultrawideband antenna and propagations, phased array radar, RF device, satellite communications systems and 5G systems.
